Think Outside the Box

This phrase applies completely and 100% to Internet marketing. Those that can think outside the box will be richly rewarded; those who just recycle other people's ideas and don't do any critical thinking into their own ventures will be doomed to a life of mediocrity.
Some of my partner and I's biggest successes have come when we have done something that no one else in the industry is doing. We aren't afraid to try new things, and we certainly aren't afraid to fail. If something doesn't work, we move on to the next thing, confident in our skills and sure that if we try enough times, we'll eventually succeed.
One of the industries that we are in, we had a real tough time with at the beginning. Instead of doing things our own way, we followed the herd, and tried to do it the same way as everyone else. Well, after literally years of blood, sweat and tears, we realized that he had to put our own spin on the industry. Break from the normal way of doing things, and go in our own direction. This has paid off in spades, as we are on track for one of our biggest months ever, and the future is looking very bright.
Many people in the industry, if they knew the approach that we were taking, would tell us "That will never work." However, we have to try and fail .. this is much better than not trying at all. The biggest risk is just that we will waste our time and energy; big deal. The reward to us was thousands of dollars in profits each month with hardly any expense, and this should just continue to grow.
When you are approaching an Internet venture, you have to think outside of the box, as those that do are usually the most successful.
