The Top Rebate Credit Cards Available Online

Apply for the Discover More Card

Apply for the Discover Motiva Card

Apply for the Discover Open Road Card

According to the dictionary, a "rebate" is described as a partial refund. A return of part of an original payment.

With credit cards, the meaning of the word isn't any different.

If you have a "rebate" credit card in your purse or wallet, this means that you are getting something back from the credit card company in return for using the card.

Some cards will give you cash back on every purchase that you make through your card.

Some cards will give you even more cash back for every grocery or gas purchase that you make through your card.

Some cards will return an entire month's worth of interest if you make six of your payments on time in a row.

These all qualify as "rebate" cards.

Why?

Because they are putting cash right back into your purse or wallet. They are not giving you free airmiles and they are not sending you gifts in exchange for using the card. They are returning money.

Given the current state of the economy, rebate credit cards have grown (understandably) very popular all of a sudden.

People are looking to stretch their dollars, and what better way to do it than with a credit card that offers you rebates?

Here are reviews of three of the most popular rebate cards that are currently on the market:

1. The Discover More Card. Offers up to 5% cashback on certain purchases (restaurants, gas, etc) and up to 1% cash back on all other purchases. There is a reason why it is called the Discover More card.

2. The Discover Open Road Card. Offers a 5% cash back bonus on your first $100 of gas and auto maintenance spending every month. Also offers up to 1% cash back on all additional purchases.

3. The Discover Motiva Card. Now this card is a little bit different. The Discover Motiva Card rewards people who make their payments on time. If you make six payments in a row on time, then the Discover Motiva card will give you a full month's worth of interest back.

Make all of your payments on time over the course of an entire year, and you will receive two month's worth of interest back. For some people, this can add up to be a substantial amount of money over the course of a year.

These are three rebate credit cards that we can whole-heartedly recommend.
