Tottenham Hotspur Notes: Tottenham Hotspur thrilled its fans during the 2015/16 campaign, as they were challenging for the English Premier League title for much of the season before succumbing to the eventual champions from Leicester City.

In the process, however, Tottenham managed to finish in third place in the table, which qualified them for direct entry into the Champions League group stage. Tottenham's group includes CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco, which means that Tottenham has a decent shot to qualify for the Champions League knockout phase.

Tottenham is led by Harry Kane, who emerged last season as one of the top players in the English Premier League. Kane scored 25 goals during league play last season, and Tottenham fans will be expecting more of the same during the 2016/17 campaign.

Tottenham's supporters are looking for much the same result in 2016/17 as they had in the previous year - a top three finish and another berth to the Champions League tournament. This will be easier said than done, however, thanks to Manchester United and Chelsea both likely returning to the top of the table.
