Description of Product:
"The Dip" is a quick read. As a matter of fact, the book is just 96 pages long and contains numerous illustrations and graphs.
But is a 96 page book that can be read in 2 hours any less important than a 500 page book that is stuffed with useless information? Of course not.
Talk to any Internet marketer (or marketer in general) and there is a good chance that they will tell you that Seth Godin is one of their major influences, and that they read every word that Godin publishes.
There is a reason why Godin is such a sought-after speaker in conferences all around the world.
There is a reason why Jay-Z lists one of Seth Godin's books ("Purple Cow") as one of the most important books that he has ever read.
Everybody encounters "dips" in their lives.
You can face a dip when attempting to change your eating habits. You can face a dip when trying to start a new business. You can face a dip when first heading off to college.
How do you work your way through these dips? Why is it important to battle through these dips? And what are the rewards? These are some of the questions that "The Dip" attempts to answer.
In addition, "The Dip" will help you to recognize which "dips" should be faced, and which "dips" simply lead to dead ends. For instance, there is no point in battling through a "dip" that leads to nothing but a dead-end.
Godin is the brain behind Squidoo.com. He has also popularized the ideas of "permission marketing", "Ideaviruses" and "Sneezers".

This is a book that can be read in one short afternoon.
However, if you are like me, you will likely be revisiting the book many times in the future.
Godin doesn't really introduce radically new concepts - instead, he tells you things that you already know in a "I can't believe that I didn't realize this before" sort of way.
This book is not just geared towards businesspeople who are trying to move ahead in life.
Instead, this book is for anybody who is facing any type of a challenge.
Everybody encounters "dips" throughout their lives. Most people don't power through the "dips", so most people don't realize the rewards that come from powering through the "dips".
Also, this book will attempt to help you ask the question - is this dip worth powering through in the first place, or will it lead to nothing but a dead-end? There is no point in powering through a dip, for instance, if it will lead you to a job that takes you nowhere.
This book is available for just $9.32 through Amazon.com. That's about the cost of seeing a movie at the theater.
Buy the book. Read the book. It requires such a small investment (in terms of money and time), but can help you to accomplish such big things in your life.
In the end, it's up to the individual to gather the strength and courage to power through any dips that they may encounter in their lives. However, this book certainly helps us to realize the benefits of getting through these dips. There is a reason why many people don't make it through the dips, and there is a reason why the rewards are so great for those who do. It's not easy, but the rewards are massive.
"The Dip" is a great book, and I would highly recommend that you purchase it.
