A downpour of SuperPAC funds was spent to oppose President Barack Obama in the past week as the battle for the White House starts to heat up.
A total of $26,166,015 was spent by SuperPACs over the past 7 days, with the majority of that money ($20 million plus) being spent to oppose Barack Obama.
On the other hand, just $1,179,355 was spent to oppose presumptive Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney over the same seven day period.

The only stipulation is that they are not allowed to directly co-ordinate with a campaign - for instance, Mitt Romney is not allowed to directly co-ordinate with Restore Our Future, Inc., etc.
