Spain play Iran in the 2nd round of group stage games at the Russia World Cup. Bet on it!Spain will look to re-assert their dominance on their Group on Wednesday when they take on Iran.

This is quite an important game for both teams. With Portugal likely to defeat Morocco in the other Group B match, both Spain and Iran desperately need victories. If Iran is able to pull off the improbable win, they would clinch a spot in the next round of play, as they were able to defeat Morocco in the first match thanks to an own goal from Morocco.

Spain, on the other hand, played Portugal to a 3-3 draw in their first game of the tournament. Anything less than a victory over Iran would be terrible for the Spanish side and would almost certainly lead to a quick exit from the tournament.

The good news for Spain fans? Iran is a game that they should absolutely win. The bad news? Iran will be playing with no pressure, which might make for a tricky match for the Spanish side. Iran is capable of giving a really good team a hard time, as evidenced from their narrow loss to Lionel Messi and Argentina in the last World Cup.

Spain has an absolute truckload of talent which includes the likes of Diego Costa, Rodrigo, Iago Aspas, Isco and Marco Asensio. Iran doesn't have anything close to Spain's talent, though they do have momentum and a strong desire to notch another upset.

Kazan Arena will be the battleground for a group stage match between Spain and Iran at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Betting odds and match preview provided in the article.

There is no scenario under which Iran should win this game. The Spanish team is supremely talented and still one of the favourites to win this tournament.

As we've seen in this World Cup, however, upsets can and will happen, and Spain is certainly susceptible following their first game of the tournament, which ended in a draw. I would expect Iran to put up a strong defensive match in this game and give the Spanish fans a bit of worry.
