Adam Silver currently has a net worth of an estimated:

Adam Silver, who has worked for the NBA (National Basketball Association) for over 20 years, was unanimously selected by the NBA Board of Governors to succeed David Stern as the Commissioner of the League. Silver's first official day on the job was February 1st, 2014.

Silver, who was born on April 26th, 1962, graduated from Duke University in 1984. Silver decided to continue his education at the University of Chicago, where he earned his law degree in 1988.

Silver worked as a law clerk and a lawyer before joining the NBA in 1992. Prior to being named Commissioner, Silver filled the following positions with the league:

-special assistant to the Commissioner
-NBA Chief of Staff
-Senior Vice President of NBA Entertainment
-President of NBA Entertainment
-NBA Deputy Commissioner/Chief Operating Officer

Adam Silver served as David Stern's "right hand man" (deputy commissioner) for nearly eight years. Silver reportedly earned the admiration of owners during the 2011 lockout, as he helped to craft a deal that put the league's finances back in order. Silver is seen as most as being a capable and calm negotiator, which is in many ways the complete opposite of the more fiery David Stern.

Adam Silver recently celebrated his five year anniversary as Commissioner of the NBA.

Owners have been ecstatic with Silver's performance so far - so much so, in fact, that they rewarded their Commission with a five-year contract extension in June of 2018. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though you can safely assume that Silver is making at least $10 million per year, and this number is likely closer to the $20-$25 million per year range.

Franchise values are up almost 300% since Silver took over as Commissioner. The league has financial stability and the owners and players seem to be enjoying a strong relationship. There are potential issues looming on the horizon in the next round of CBA negotiations, however, especially pertaining to max contracts and unhappy superstars. Can the system be fixed? Situations involving Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving and others have thrown the league into a bit of a state of disarray over the past year or so.

The league is in the best financial shape that it has ever been in. Rivers of money are flowing into the league, mainly due to lucrative new national TV deals.

Commissioner Silver has taken the lead on the big four leagues in North America warming to sports betting, as he knows that positive impact that sports betting has on TV ratings and revenues in Europe and other places.

There have been rumors of the NFL trying to poach Silver to act on their commissioner, though Silver seems content where he is.
