34% of World Believes That China is World's Leading Economic Superpower
According to a recently released report from Pew Research (link below), just 41% of the planet believes that the United States is currently the world's leading economic superpower.
The question "who is the world's leading economic power?" was posed to residents of 39 different countries, including Canada, Britain, Germany, Russia and Turkey.
41% of the people who participated in the survey this year said that the United States is currently the world's leading economic superpower, while 34% said that China is at the top.
Let's compare these numbers to 2008:
2008

According to the report, 53% of the respondents from Britain say that China is currently the world's leading economic superpower, while 59% of Germans surveyed said that they also believe that China has the leg up on the United States when it comes to economic might.
