Definition of Republicrat
The term Republicrat is political slang used to describe someone who doesn't clearly stick to the talking points of either the Republican or Democratic Party. It's usually meant as a jab, aimed at politicians who seem too centrist - or worse, too willing to work with the other side.

It's not always about specific votes or policies, though. Sometimes the term is used to criticize what people see as a lack of real difference between the two major parties. Voters frustrated by the political status quo might use "Republicrat" to say, "They're all the same anyway."
The term has been around for a long time-since at least the 1870s - and it tends to pop up whenever party lines get blurry, or when compromise starts looking like capitulation.
