Crypto Exchange Reserves Monitor
How much crypto the world's biggest exchanges hold in their known wallets, what it is made of, and how much is flowing in or out each day, with price moves taken out.
01Reserves by Exchange
Click a column to sort. Net flow is coins in minus coins out, valued at each day's price, so it shows deposits and withdrawals rather than price swings. Excluding own token leaves out the token an exchange issues itself, which it can create and whose price depends partly on the exchange.

02Withdrawal Watch
Exchanges where more than 5% of reserves left over the past seven days, or more than 3% in a single day, after taking out price moves:
| Exchange | 24 hours | 7 days | Reserves now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | -$6.0B (-4.1%) | -$6.2B (-4.3%) | $134B |
| Bitstamp | -$215M (-4.5%) | -$153M (-3.2%) | $4.3B |
| Bitunix | -$9.5M (-3.3%) | -$4.4M (-1.6%) | $270M |
An outflow is not proof of trouble. Exchanges move coins between wallets, and a transfer to a wallet nobody has identified yet looks the same as a withdrawal. Sustained outflows across several days are the pattern worth watching.
Binance after the October 29, 2026 hack. Binance's tracked wallets held $145B at the start of October 29, 2026 (UTC), before the theft, and $134B on October 30, 2026, with net flows of -$6.0B over that time after taking out price moves. See The Biggest Crypto Hacks in History for what was taken.
03Reserves and Flows Over Time
Reserves in millions of dollars, by day. The line includes price moves.
Daily net flow in millions of dollars over the last 90 days, with price moves taken out: green days more coins arrived than left, red days more left.
04How This Is Built
- Wallets: DefiLlama tracks the blockchain addresses each exchange has published or that analysts have tied to it, and totals their balances. Coins in wallets that have not been identified are not counted, so these are minimums.
- Net flows: for each token we take the change in the number of coins from one day to the next and value it at the later day's price, then add up the tokens. A token that disappears from an exchange's wallets entirely counts as an outflow at its last value.
- Own tokens: DefiLlama leaves most exchanges' own tokens out of their totals already; where one is still counted, it is shown separately: BNB for Binance, OKB for OKX, LEO for Bitfinex, KCS for KuCoin, CRO for Crypto.com, GT for Gate, BGB for Bitget, MX for MEXC and HT for HTX are counted separately.
- What this cannot show: what each exchange owes its customers. Reserves are only half of solvency.

05Frequently Asked Questions
What are an exchange's reserves?
The crypto held in the wallets an exchange has publicly identified as its own, or that blockchain analysts have traced to it. Because blockchains are public, anyone can add up those balances. DefiLlama does this for every major exchange and this page reads its figures once a day.
Do reserves prove an exchange is safe?
No. Reserves show assets, not what the exchange owes its customers. An exchange can hold billions and still owe more, and wallets it has not disclosed are not counted at all. FTX's collapse in November 2022, which showed how much of an exchange's balance sheet can rest on its own token, is the reason this page shows reserves both with and without each exchange's own token.
What is a net outflow?
Coins leaving an exchange's wallets, valued at the day's price. We compare each token's balance from one day to the next and price the difference, so a market rally or sell-off does not look like customers depositing or withdrawing. A large outflow can mean customers pulling money out, but also an exchange moving coins to wallets nobody has labelled yet.
Why does the total change when nobody moves any coins?
Prices. Reserves are shown in dollars, so when bitcoin falls 10% an exchange holding mostly bitcoin shows about 10% less in reserves without a single withdrawal. That is why the net flow columns, which remove price changes, are the better signal of customers leaving.
How often is this page updated?
Once a day. The page reads DefiLlama's latest balances each morning; the time of the last update is shown at the top.
Which exchanges are included?
Every exchange DefiLlama tracks with at least $50 million in identified wallets. The 25 largest have daily token detail, which is what the flows and the composition are built from.

Corrections and Updates
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| October 30, 2026 | Fixed the daily balances on launch day: two readings for the same day were being added together, which doubled the latest totals and showed half of each exchange's reserves as a one-day inflow. The page now also names DefiLlama as the source under the headline figure. |
