CNBC: More Than 55 Million US Homes Own At Least One Apple Product



Ipad and Ipod - IllustrationAccording to a recent CNBC.com article (link below), half of all US households currently own at least one Apple product.

A few more pieces of good news if you are an Apple shareholder - according to CNBC's "All-America Economic" survey, 10% of the US households that currently don't own any Apple products are planning on buying one over the next year.

On top of that, of the 55 million US households that do owe at least one iPad, iPhone or Mac computer, almost 25% plan on adding at least one more Apple product over the next 12 months.

Here is a breakdown from the CNBC poll question: "How Many Apple Products Do You Own?"

None - 49%
1 - 16%
2 - 12%
3-4 - 13%
5 - 9%

These are some pretty incredible numbers. A full 22% of all US households own at LEAST three Apple products, with 9% owning five or more.

Some other interesting statistics from the article:

-77% of people who make at least $75,000 per year own at least one Apple product

-63% of people between the ages of 18-49 own at least one Apple product

-50% of people between the ages of 50-64 own at least one Apple product

-61% of US households with children own at least one Apple device

-26% of Democrats plan to buy an Apple product over the next 12 months, compared to 19% of Republicans

Given these stats, it's no wonder that Apple has a market capitalization of $573 billion and climbing.
