According to Survey, $7.5 Million Needed "In Order To Be Truly Rich"
According to a recent Fidelity Investments survey, 42% of millionaires surveyed said that they do "not feel wealthy".
Fidelity recently surveyed more than 1,000 millionaires and asked them a number of questions, including: Do you feel wealthy? If not, how much money would it take for you to feel truly rich?
It should be noted that the millionaires who were surveyed had "at least $1 million in investable assets". Real estate and retirement accounts were not included in the equation. The average age of the millionaires who participated in the survey was 56, and the average total of investable assets held by the millionaires was approximately $3.5 million.
As mentioned, roughly 42% of respondents said that they do not feel rich. The magic number that would be needed in order to feel rich? $7.5 million.

If rising food prices and sky-high energy prices have your financial situation feeling a bit precarious, you can take some solace in the fact that 42% of US millionaires are also feeling a bit nervous about their finances as well (yes, I'm being sarcastic).
