Apple Now Worth More Than Google and Microsoft - Combined
AppleInsider.com (link below) pointed out earlier this morning that Apple Inc. (AAPL) is now worth more than Google Inc. (GOOG) and Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) COMBINED.
Apple accomplished this feat after tacking on billions more in market cap earlier today, thanks to rumors of the release of the iPad 3 in March.
Let's look at the numbers:
Apple market cap - $459.82 billion
Google market cap - $198.81 billion
Microsoft market cap - $258.18 billion
Apple is now worth more than both Google and Microsoft combined, with a few billion dollars to spare.

Remember when Apple and Exxon were battling for the title of most valuable publicly traded company in the United States?
Well, as it stands right now, Apple is worth approximately 15% more than Exxon Mobil:
Apple market cap - $459.82 billion
Exxon Mobil market cap - $401.82 billion

At the height of the financial crisis, you could have bought a share of Apple for $83.
Roughly 3 1/2 years later, that share of Apple would cost you $493.17.
