Rick Perry's College Grades Released
Earlier this week, Texas Governor Rick Perry announced that he would be running for President in 2012.
A great deal can change between now and the Republican National Convention in August of 2012, but at this point, Rick Perry is the front-runner to square off against Barack Obama next year.
As was to be expected, a flood of articles about Rick Perry (both negative and positive) have been released by the media over the past week. Google News returns a total of 21,500 results when I search for "Rick Perry" and limit the results to the past seven days.
Shortly after Rick Perry formally announced his 2012 Presidential bid, someone released Perry's Texas A&M transcript online.
The grades were not very good. Perry's college transcript is littered with C's and D's, and his overall GPA was just a bit north of 2.0. Perry managed just 2 A's during his time in college ("Improv. of Learning" and "World Mil. Systems").
A number of people also point out the fact that Perry received a "D" in a second-year Economics course.
The $64,000 question is - do these grades matter to you?
If you were thinking about supporting Perry, do his subpar college grades make you second guess yourself?
Does Perry's "D" in economics bother you?
