If their constituents feel as though they are doing a good job and looking out for their interests, then there is a great chance that they will win re-election.

A 24 year-old lawyer is considered a "constituent", as they are eligible to vote.

A 15 year-old student, on the other hand, is not considered a constituent, as they are not yet old enough to vote.
